Unfreeze an Animal is a Roblox tycoon with a mean twist: the animal is not yours until the ice finishes melting on your plot. Thaw Labs launched the experience on 11 August 2026. You find creatures locked in ice, push the spheres home, unfreeze them at a campfire, and spend the cash they generate. Other people on the six-player server can grab the same block while it is still frozen. This walkthrough is the first hour without Robux.

What you are looking at

You spawn on a grassy plot with a stone-ring campfire. Snowy trees and rocks sit beyond the lawn — that is the hunt zone. Ice spheres contain animals. Promotional shots and in-game models already show cows, wolves, and dragons; treat cows as the starter example and dragons as the thing you do not leave unattended. A prompt labelled E Unfreeze appears when you are allowed to start a thaw. The backpack system, credited in the official description to WinnersTakesAll, is how you haul or store a block when pushing with your body is not enough.

Minute-by-minute loop

Claim the plot. Let the server finish streaming. If you load on top of someone else’s fire, walk until the UI treats the lawn as yours. Public servers cap at six, so you will see neighbours immediately.

Find ice. Leave the fire. Commons spawn closer to the grass; denser ice and flashier silhouettes sit farther toward snow and slopes. Do not sprint past a cow because you want a dragon on run one. A thawed common that prints cash beats a stolen legendary you never owned.

Push. Walk into the sphere and keep pressure toward your campfire. The official art shows a sling-style haul and a shoulder shove — in play you stay glued to the block so it does not roll downhill into another plot. Park on the fire. Stop when the ice sits in the heat, not two studs outside the ring. Start the unfreeze prompt and do not walk away. Melt is a timed state. That is why the shop sells 2x Melt Speed. Details are on how to unfreeze.

Own it. When the ice breaks, the animal is yours and starts generating money. Park it on the plot, then go get another. If a stranger is hovering, read protect your base before you leave a half-melted dragon.

First upgrades, first mistakes

Spend early cash on whatever shortens the vulnerable window: movement if you cannot finish a push, plot space if you already have animals overlapping the fire. Do not buy cosmetics. Compare paid skips on game pass tiers only after you understand the free loop.
